The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences announces that applications are now accepted for the master鈥檚 program for the academic year 2026鈥�2027.

1. LU students:

• Admission requirements for Semester 1 of the research master's program:

- Holding a Lebanese Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political Science under the new system (LMD)

- A minimum grade point average of 55/100 (2.75/5 GPA)

- File review

• Admission requirements for Semester 3 of the research master program:

- Under the new system (LMD), the student should have earned 48 credits in Semesters 1 and 2 of the research master鈥檚 program.

- Students holding a Lebanese Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political and Administrative Sciences under the old system should have achieved an overall GPA of at least 11/20 over the four years of their bachelor鈥檚 program.

- Written exam.

• Admission requirements for Semester 1 of the professional master鈥檚 program:

- Holding a Lebanese bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political Science and Public Administration under the new system (LMD)

• Admission requirements for Semester 3 of the professional master鈥檚 program:

- The student should have earned 48 credits under the new system (LMD) in Semesters 1, 2, and 3 of the professional or research master鈥檚 program.

- The student should hold a Lebanese bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political Science and Public Administration under the old system (four years).

• Students enrolled in the professional master's program in Law or Political & Administrative Sciences may enroll in Semester 3 of the research master's program subject to the following conditions:

- Completion of all courses in Semesters 1, 2, and 3 of the master's program with a grade of at least 65/100 or a GPA of 3.25/5

- Written exam.

2. Students from private universities:

• Admission requirements for M1:

- The student should hold a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political Science from a recognized university, and this degree should be duly certified

- A minimum average grade of 70/100 on the bachelor鈥檚 degree or a GPA of 3.25 out of 5 for a research or professional master鈥檚 program

- Meet the student evaluation requirements specific to the master鈥檚 program

- Number of students should not exceed 10% of the total number of students admitted to each master鈥檚 program

3. Students from foreign universities:

• Admission requirements for Semester 1 of the research master鈥檚 program:

- Holding a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political Science from a recognized university, with the degree duly certified

- Achieving a minimum GPA of 60/100 (3/5) for the bachelor鈥檚 degree

- File review by a committee formed by the faculty dean.

- The number of admitted students should not exceed 10% of the total number of admissions for each master鈥檚 program

• Admission requirements for Semester 3 of the research master鈥檚 program:

- The student should hold M1 in Law or Political Science from a recognized university, with the degree duly certified

- The student should have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 60/100 (3/5) over the three years of the bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 programs

- The number of admitted students should not exceed 10% of the total number of admitted students in each master鈥檚 program

- Written exam

• Admission requirements for Semester 1 of the professional master's program:

- The student should hold a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law or Political & Administrative Sciences from a recognized university, with the degree duly certified

- The number of admitted students should not exceed 10% of the total number of admitted students in each master鈥檚 program.

• Admission requirements for Semester 3 of the professional master鈥檚 program:

- The student should hold a master鈥檚 degree in law or political science from a recognized university, with the degree duly certified

- The student should have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 55/100 in the master鈥檚 program

- The number of admitted students should not exceed 10% of the total number of students admitted to each master鈥檚 program.

4- Application Submission Deadlines:

Applications should be submitted from Monday, 14 September 2026, through Thursday, 22 October 2026, at the relevant branches for each major during official working hours.

- The branch director shall be held responsible for any application received by the Deanship that does not meet the requirements.

- A student may not apply for more than one research master鈥檚 program.

M2 applications should be submitted to the Deanship no later than Monday, 26 October 2026, for review by a committee chaired by the Dean.

After reviewing the applications, a list of accepted students will be sent to the branches so they may take the written exams, which will begin on Monday, 2 November 2026.

French Section:

- Domestic & International Business Law (Research)

- Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (Research)

- Disputes, Arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (Professional)

6. Required Documents:

- Certified copy of familial civil status record or ID (for foreign students: copy of passport certified by the relevant authority)

- Certified copy of transcript for the four-year program (old system)

- Certified copy of transcript for the three-year program (LMD system)

- Certified copy of M1 transcript indicating the number of credits earned, specifying whether it is professional or research master鈥檚 degree.

- Statement regarding Lebanese laws for holders of degrees from private universities in Lebanon or foreign universities for Lebanese students.

Note:

Transcripts from foreign universities should be duly certified by the Lebanese Embassy and the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or by the embassy of the respective country and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and should be recognized as equivalent by the Lebanese Ministry of Education & Higher Education.
