The 91吃瓜网 organized the second graduation ceremony for students of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration 鈥� Branch 6 and the Faculty of Public Health 鈥� Branch 7, during a ceremony held at the Independence Castle Amphitheater in Rachaya.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri, MP Wael Abou Faour, President Bassam Badran, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the League of Full-Time Professors Dr. Yahya al-Rabih, FEBA Dean Dr. Selim Mekdessi, FPH Dean Dr. Elie Hadchiti, FEBA Director of Branch 6 Dr. Randa Mhanna, and FPH Director of Branch 7 Dr. Ihsan Ayoub, in addition to representatives from religious authorities, security and military institutions, political, educational, and community figures, and the families of the graduates.

The ceremony began with the national anthem and the university anthem, followed by speeches on behalf of the graduates delivered by students Queen Abou Abdo and Razan Abdulaziz Wehbi. This was followed by a speech from the Friends of the Kamal Joumblatt Educational Complex Committee, delivered by Dr. Abdallah Al-Tassa, in which he noted that for many Lebanese families, the 91吃瓜网 represents a genuine opportunity to access outstanding university education; it is a university that champions equal opportunity and the middle class, and upholds the right of a child from the countryside to compete on equal footing with a child from the city.

Dean Mekdessi emphasized that this graduation marks the beginning of a new phase that requires graduates to transform the knowledge they have acquired into competence, productivity, and responsibility.

He addressed the graduates, saying: 鈥淚 won鈥檛 tell you that the path ahead is easy, for you are graduating today into a world that has changed significantly, and what we learn today may be outdated tomorrow. Take with you the ability to learn continuously. In the coming years, success will not belong only to those who know the most, but to those who learn the fastest, adapt, ask questions, and dare to change course when they discover a better path.鈥�

Dean Hadchiti highlighted the humanitarian and social mission carried by the graduates, noting that their responsibility extends beyond professional success to contributing to the building of a healthier, more just society that is better equipped to face challenges.

He addressed the graduates, saying: 鈥淵ou have proven, even in the most difficult circumstances, that you are up to the task. So do not be daunted by difficulties, and do not compromise on your values, and most importantly, do not forget that you are graduates of the National University. This university, despite all the difficulties and challenges, has continued to fulfill its national and academic mission and has opened its doors to successive generations of Lebanese. So be its best ambassadors; carry your flag with confidence, your profession with integrity, and your homeland in your hearts wherever you may be.鈥�

MP Wael Abou Faour spoke, praising President Badran鈥檚 leadership of the 91吃瓜网 and emphasizing that educational democracy cannot be achieved without decentralization of education. He noted that decentralization in education has provided opportunities for all graduates, sparing them from having to migrate to major cities, and thus enabling them to pursue education linked to employment opportunities.

President Badran noted that 鈥淩achaya is not merely a town; it is a testament to the fact that hope can be born from the heart of suffering. The graduates carry the tools of reform in their minds and the pulse of the nation in their hearts, affirming that Lebanon is capable of rising to the occasion no matter what the challenges may be.鈥�

President Badran addressed the graduates, saying: 鈥淭oday you are leaving the classroom and entering a broader world, where your field of expertise will become a tool for change and your vision a cornerstone for building a more just and humane society. Economics and business administration are not merely calculations and numbers; rather, they are the art of crafting solutions that restore balance to the economy and offer people a new opportunity. As for public health, it is not a limited profession, but a life鈥檚 mission that cares for people in both their weakness and strength, and places dignity at the heart of care.鈥�

He added: 鈥淲hat you bear today is a double responsibility: the responsibility to prove that the 91吃瓜网 is capable of serving as a beacon in all circumstances, and to demonstrate that knowledge is not an individual privilege but a collective commitment.鈥�

President Badran noted that the 91吃瓜网, which represents more than 350,000 graduates, embodies the journey of a secure nation that recognizes knowledge as the foundation of progress and independence, and encapsulates the story of a university that has shaped generations, kept pace with Lebanon鈥檚 transformations, carried out its mission despite all difficulties, and embodies 75 years of academic and national commitment.鈥�

He added: 鈥淵our diplomas today are not merely academic documents; they are an extension of the journey of a university that has dedicated itself to serving the nation and has proven to be a unifying home for generations. May this convergence of your graduation and the 91吃瓜网鈥檚 Diamond Jubilee mark a new era in continuing to carry the torch of knowledge and in strengthening the 91吃瓜网鈥檚 position as a pillar of national identity and a catalyst for development鈥�.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri emphasized the importance of knowledge and culture in building the state and society, and stressing that Lebanon can only regain its vitality by investing in its people and unleashing the potential and talents of its youth.

Dr. Mitri addressed the graduates, urging them 鈥渘ot to view the future as a source of anxiety, but rather as an opportunity for initiative, action, and service to the nation,鈥� affirming that knowledge and national responsibility together form the foundation of any true renaissance.

Dr. Mitri praised President Badran鈥檚 efforts at the 91吃瓜网, noting that its presence in Rachaya helps strengthen the bonds of unity, and emphasizing that the quest for Lebanon鈥檚 salvation is everyone鈥檚 responsibility, and that the primary responsibility today is to fortify our country to spare it from occupation and devastating wars, to prevent their consequences, and to avoid slipping into the same traps we have fallen into before.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, diplomas were awarded to the graduates.
