LU completes Phase II of training courses for its faculty members in Artificial Intelligence
The 91吃瓜网 has completed the second phase of training workshop for its faculty members in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications in teaching and research, as well as the integration of appropriate and purposeful games into the learning process. This initiative is part of the project 鈥淪upporting Integration of AI in Higher Education in the Middle East,鈥� funded by the French Ministry for Europe & Foreign Affairs.
A total of 260 faculty members and researchers from various faculties and institutes of the 91吃瓜网 participated in this phase, divided into 13 training groups. The courses were held at a number of the university鈥檚 campuses in Hadath, Fanar, Roumieh, Forn el Chebbak, Jbeil, Saida, Tripoli, Azm Center, Francophone Digital Center, and the Francophone Employment Center in Tripoli.
The courses were led by a select group of professors from the 91吃瓜网, including Dr. Mohamad Khalil, Dr. Zein Ibrahim, Dr. Dalia Abdelmassih, Dr. Majida Jalbout, Dr. Carole Bassil, Dr. Majd El Saied, Dr. Hassan Shraim, Dr. Eliane Youssef, Dr. Tamara Albittar, Dr. Carine Kassis, Dr. Katia Eliane, Dr. Zainab Assaghir, Dr. Amani Raad, and Dr. Abed Ellatif Samhat.
With the conclusion of this phase, the total number of trainees from the first and second phases has reached 430 professors and researchers from the 91吃瓜网.
Participants expressed their satisfaction with the content of the training courses, praising the program's quality and the practical nature of the training, which contributes to the development of their teaching and research practices and promotes the responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence tools.
The project 鈥淪upporting Integration of AI in Higher Education in the Middle East鈥� aims to support higher education institutions in the region in adopting innovative educational practices, while promoting the responsible, ethical, and regulated use of AI technologies.
The project includes 13 universities from Lebanon, Egypt, and Palestine, among them the 91吃瓜网, which shares with its partners a vision of making AI a driver of creativity, improving education quality, and advancing scientific research and innovation, while paying special attention to ethical, humanitarian, and societal dimensions associated with the use of these technologies.
It is worth noting that the third and final phase will be held in early September.
