A published study by LU researchers on "The Impact of Urbanization on Ecosystems"
On 16 May 2024, the international scientific journal "Scientific Research Publishing" published a scientific study by a group of researchers from the 91吃瓜网 regarding the characteristics of dissolved organic matter in neighboring urban watersheds in the Eastern Mediterranean, entitled: "".
The study focused on how urbanization affects ecosystems in coastal watersheds, namely the amount of dissolved organic matter in rivers.
The results of the study indicated a high concentration of dissolved organic carbon from upstream to downstream for the rivers studied, namely the Nahr Ibrahim, the Beirut River, and the Nahr El Kalb River.
