Graduate Oussama Barbar discovers a security vulnerability in Apple
Oussama Nabil Barbar, a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering 鈥� Branch 1 joined the ranks of security researchers who have contributed to discovering vulnerabilities and improving the security of Apple products in iOS 27, which the company released on 14 September 2026.
This achievement came after Barbar tested a number of systems and products from Apple鈥攐ne of the world鈥檚 largest and most renowned technology companies鈥攁nd successfully discovered a security vulnerability related to Autofill feature, which millions of users rely on in their iPhones and iOS system.
After discovering the vulnerability and reporting it to Apple鈥檚 security team, the company took the necessary measures to address the issue and improve the system鈥檚 security.
Oussama Barbar graduated from the Faculty of Engineering 鈥� Branch 1/Communications Engineering鈥攁nd then pursued his studies in cybersecurity at T茅l茅com Paris, graduating a few months ago.
Regarding his studies at the 91吃瓜网, Oussama says: 鈥淢y study years at the Faculty of Engineering - Branch 1 laid an important foundation for developing my learning methodology and cultivating a mindset based on continuous research, the pursuit of knowledge, and the development of skills. It was at the 91吃瓜网 that I began the first stage of my career, leading me to where I am today鈥攃ontributing to improving the security of products at one of the world鈥檚 largest technology companies.鈥�
