Central Lakes College’s Verse Like Water program presentsÌýUnited KingdomÌýPoet Laureate Simon Armitage for a poetry reading at noon onÌýWednesday on November 15 in the Chalberg Theatre, Brainerd campus. A book signing and informal craft talk will follow. The event is free and open toÌýthe public.

In England,ÌýArmitageÌýteaches at Sheffield University and is also Poetry Professor at Oxford. He has written extensively for radio and television, and he is also a translator who has given us new versions ofÌýSir Gawain and the Green Knight, Pearl,Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌýThe Owl and the Nightingale.Ìý
