Your StarID serves as your primary username for accessing various services, including eServices, D2L Brightspace, your student email, etc.

To reset your StarID password:

1. Go to the
2. Select Reset my password.
3. Select one of the options listed.
4. Enter the requested information and click Continue.

Note: This password expires every 180 days. We will send email reminders to your default notification email.

Email is 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s official means of communication with students. To stay up to date, check your email often.

To log in to your Student Email account:

2. Log in by typing your StarID@go.minnstate.edu and StarID password.

Your email format is: firstname.lastname@go.clcmn.edu

Example: John Smith → john.smith@go.clcmn.edu

Note: This email deactivates 365 days after your last day of enrollment.

MFA is an added layer of protection beyond just your password.

To set up your MFA:

1. After you sign in to Microsoft 365
2. Select Let’s keep your account secure > Click Next.
3. Select an option: download the Authenticator app, text, and/or call by phone.
4. Follow the prompts on the screen.

Note: If your Authenticator app does not work or your phone number changed, please contact IT support.

Your Microsoft 365 account includes access to tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and more!

To download Microsoft 365 apps:

1. Log in to
2. Select Apps on the left-hand side.
3. Select Install Apps in the upper-right corner.
4. Select Microsoft 365 Apps to download.
5. Follow the prompts on the screen
6. Once downloaded, log into one of the tools by typing your StarID@go.minnstate.edu and your StarID password.

Note: At the beginning of each semester, you will not be able to download the Microsoft 365 Office suite until closer to the start of the semester. Please plan accordingly.

D2L Brightspace is 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s learning platform used for your courses.

To log into D2L Brightspace:

1. Visit the website.

Log in by typing your StarID@go.minnstate.edu and your StarID password.

E-Services allow students to register for courses, view academic records, financial aid status, account balances, and degree audit reports.

To log in to E-Services:

1. Visit the .
2. Log in by typing your StarID and StarID password.

All students are welcome to use our 91³Ô¹ÏÍø computers while the campus is open.

To log in to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s computers:

1. Log in by typing your StarID and password.

Each semester, your printing account is set to $15.

• Black and white pages: 3¢ per page
• Color pages: 12 ¢ per page

Eduroam is a secure, global wireless access service for the educational and research community. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø offers free Wi-Fi throughout our facilities.

To connect to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Wi-Fi:

1. On your device, select Eduroam from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
2. Log in by typing your StarID@go.minnstate.edu and your StarID password.

Note: Make sure you’re running the latest software on your device.

Students can print from their personal devices.

To set up printing from your device:

1. Log into 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Wi-Fi, Eduroam
2. Then, click the link below to download and install the printers:
3. After installing the printers:
   • Log in by typing your StarID and your StarID password.

Web based Printing

The web-based printing option allows students to print from any device with internet access.

To use web-based printing:

1. Go to the .
2. Log in by typing your StarID and StarID password.
3. Upload the document you want to print.
4. Then select print

Star Alert notifies students via email, voice messages and/or text messages with pertinent information such as closing due to weather and any potential campus emergencies. You are automatically enroll with your student email. Additional emails and phone numbers can be added.

• To login to Star Alert Opt-out systemÌý
• Click Sign Me Up, to register (Use your 91³Ô¹ÏÍø email address to sign up)
• Once registered, you will receive an email to your student email account. You will need to log into your student email to click on the link.
• You will be asked a series of security questions.
  You will be asked for a reference number; this will be your StarID
• It will look for your contact record and display the match, click Associate

Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others.

To log in to Zoom:

1. Go to the .
2. Click Sign In.
3. Log in by typing your StarID@go.minnstate.edu and your StarID password.
