student operating roboticsCentral Lakes College is making it easier for students to step into high-demand careers with new scholarship opportunities in Machine Tool Technology and Robotics.

Students who are new to either program are eligible for up to$2,500to support their education and training. The scholarship provides$1,250 for Fall 2026, with the opportunity to receive anadditional$1,250 in Spring 2027.

The scholarships are available to thefirst 12 eligible studentsregisteredin each program.

Fundedthroughthe91Թ Foundation, the initiative is supported in part through a$15,000 Xcel EnergyConservation and Optimization(ECO)Workforce Development& EducationScholarshipgrant, reflecting strong community and industry investment in the region’s workforce.Additionalfunding support has been provided by 3M, as well as scholarship funds endowed with the Foundation in support of the Machine Tool and Robotics programs.

“These scholarships are about removing barriers and opening doors,” saidJon Aga, 91Թ Foundation Director. “We know there is strong demand for skilled workers in manufacturing and automation, and this support helps students take that first step with confidence.”

Machine Tool Technology and Robotics are both rapidly growing fields, offering hands-on training and pathways to stable, well-paying careers in Minnesota andbeyond.Studentsare encouraged to apply early, as space is limited.
