Voter Engagement at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø

Central Lakes College prides itself on being a leader amongst community colleges in the State of Minnesota, encouraging its students to become voters and civic leaders in their communities. We routinely host nonpartisan voter engagement activities that seek to enable our eligible students to be registered to vote and informed on the methods of voting. Students can expect to find voting in all elections to be an encouraged and celebrated activity at Central Lakes College.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: Tuesday, November 5th 2024

The voter registration process in Minnesota is easier and more convenient than ever before. Voter registration applications are available online in English, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese. They’re also available at every state agency and all 87 county offices throughout the office.

Minnesotans can also register to vote , using , or when getting their driver’s license.

Am I eligible to vote in Minnesota?

To vote, you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • At least 18 years old on Election Day (16 & 17 year olds can pre-register)
  • A resident of Minnesota for 20 days
  • Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
  • Not under a court order that revokes your right to vote

Constitution Day

Constitution Day (or Citizenship Day) is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September  17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787 in Philadelphia.
